So apparently, it’s all about angles…
Well, that’s what my team tell me (and to some extent, I think they are right).
#1 – How things look
These days so many people are focused on the external, on how things look. This is especially true when it comes to health. They focus on “How do I look?”. But how you look and how you are inside is not the same.
You can look incredibly fit and healthy and be seriously ill. You can also look slightly less than perfect and be have incredible strength or stamina. My body doesn’t look perfect, but I’ve run ultra-marathons, something many people who would be judged as having an incredible looking body would be unable to do.
It’s not about how you look on the outside. It’s how you actually are on the inside. It’s how you function and how you feel.
#2 – How you look at things
The feelings you experience in any given moment are about how you see things, not necessarily how they actually are.
Every past moment in your life has already happened. How you look back at those moments will reflect how you feel about them.
You can choose which elements you want to focus on. Think about it, when you’re driving down the road in your car sometimes the radio will go out of tune and you have to turn the knob a bit to keep it tuned in. Do you keep tuning into one station or do you decide to tune it into something else?
The radio is a metaphor for every single moment in our lives. You can always tune into something else.
You can be paying attention to this blog post, or you can be distracted by what is going on around you. You decide what gets your focus in every single moment.
