Always Think of the Other Person

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Do you live on your own, in some stupidly remote part of the world with no phone signals or internet?

Unless you are part of a crazy small minority who can answer yes to this question, you have other people in your life.

But, how often do you think about them and what is going on in their life?

Everybody has something going on. Sometimes it is a good thing that makes life feel great. And sometimes, well let’s just say that sometimes it’s the opposite.

The experience someone is having right now, shapes the way they behave.

In fact, the experience you are having is shaping your behaviour too.

It is easy to understand the way we react to things ourselves, based on what is going on in life. But, we so often forget to think about the things that are impacting others.

Let’s face it. They will often be things you are completely unaware of.

Does that mean they don’t matter? Of course not.

So, how do you take account of things you know nothing about? It’s kind of hard right?

But what you can do is ask yourself if something feels out of character. If people are behaving differently then there is probably a reason for it.

No matter what you think you know, there is always another story. Another way to look at things.

Remember that.

Think of the other person.

Don’t judge. Don’t make assumptions.

Accept the situation as it is and show up as best you can.
